Heading out on New Year's Eve? Here's some advice to stay in sailing health. When it comes to alcohol consumption (if you choose to partake):1. Make sure you eat a healthy meal or have a high quality protein shake before indulging – and focus on hydration. Protein Shakes are the ultimate easy boat meal!2. Decide your beverage count ahead of time and stick to it, hydrating with water in between each. Sea Rations, right?3. Limit sweetened beverages or sugary mixers. Stick with soda water (plain or naturally-flavored) and a slice or fruit. Easy for cruisers with limited grocery choices and storage!4. Take supportive supplements beforehand and the next day to help your recovery and hydration. 5. Re-lyte electrolyte replacement – alcohol increases water loss, so you’ll want to add in electrolytes to help hold onto water. 6. Magnesium Malate – this mineral is really important for our detoxification system, relaxation and more.7. NAC – the full name is N-Acetyl Cysteine. It sounds complex but it’s one of the most important compounds that your body uses to naturally detoxify – your liver relies on it. It’s also great for the immune system. 8. Assuming your well-hydrated, getting a good sweat going can be really helpful. Hiking or Swimming anyone? Most of all, Enjoy the New Year! 2023 holds an important announcement from us, so stay tuned!Pictured below - a coveted bottle of Blanton's for the Captain! ... See More
